Director of Process R&D

Location: PharmaBlock(USA) in Hatfield PA

Job Function: Process Chemist
Responsibilities:
1. Mentoring and leading —ability to assemble, build, manage and lead a team of highly skilled chemists (3 to 5) in the area of high tech chemical synthesis and production development. 
2. Strong background in fundamental organic chemistry including state-of-the-art and industry-standard synthetic techniques. Design of experiments (DOE) and analysis of experimental data.
3. Troubleshoot a wide array of synthetic chemistry issues at the bench scale and apply corrective measures upon the development of a multi-kilogram-scale process
4. Work directly with QA personnel to support ISO 13485 and cGMP certification.
5. Complete and audit production and cleaning records (dispensing record, BPRs, cleaning records, deviation reports, etc.) related to production and cleaning is accordance with regulatory requirements.
6. Project Management — ability to manage multiple development and scale-up projects. Prepare and review appropriate reports as needed for management and/or clients.
7. Supervise and support technology transfer other research or manufacturing sites of PharmaBlock or Partners.
Requirements:
1. PhD in chemistry with minimum of 5 years pharmaceutical industry experience; or Master with 10 years of industrial experience, or BS with 15 years of experience.
2. Understands current FDA regulations, is familiar with ICH guidelines; cGMP manufacturing experience is desirable.
3. Previous management experience is a plus.
4. Excellent communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation skills). Must be organized and detailed-oriented.
5. Must be a self-starter, self-motivated.

Senior Chemist

Job Function: Process Chemist
Responsibilities:

4. Reading and writing technical reports and specifications and maintaining appropriate records; Prepare appropriate reports as needed for management and/or clients.
5. Perform all laboratory work in a safe manner and comply with all regulations, adhere to the OSHA safety code and company policies

Requirements:

      1. PhD in chemistry; or Master with 5 years of industrial experience, or BS with 10 years of experience. 
2. Excellent communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation skills). Must be organized and detailed-oriented.
3. Must be a self-starter, self-motivated. Ability to work independently and exercise independent discretion with only limited supervision

Senior Director of Project Management-USA

Location: US, about 10-20% travelling are required

Job Function: Project Management
Responsibilities:
Manage ongoing projects
1.  Lead all project initiation and planning efforts. Participate in the implementation and execution of a given project.
2.  Closely monitor/control project progression.  Ensure that project deliverables are client focused, results oriented, performance driven, and in compliance with all applicable internal and external requirements
3.  Support the technical team to investigate any project challenges by necessary risk assessment tools & techniques, then implements corrective measures.
4.  Serve as liaison with client contacts, manages day-to-day communications and organizes project team meetings. Represent company in project meetings, prepares meeting agenda and minutes, and follows up on action items.
5.  Evaluates and assesses project results and provides recommendations for future improvements.


Provide support to the business development team and internal chemistry team
1.  Joining customer visits, conferences or tradeshows.
2.  Prepare Quotations/Proposals/Change Orders with inputs from key stakeholders for existing relationships

Requirements:
1. Masters (MS) or PhD in chemistry
2. A minimum of 5 years pharmaceutical or CRO/CMO industry experience preferably in API process R&D and manufacturing and/or Drug Product R&D and manufacturing.
3. Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required.
4. Excellent communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation skills). Must be organized and detailed-oriented.
5. Prior experience in project management or managing external research collaborations, with PMP certification desired
6. Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and highly flexible in this homebased position with 10-20% travel.

Senior Analytical Chemist-USA

Location: PharmaBlock(USA) in Hatfield PA

Job Function: Analytical Chemist
Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for providing fit-for-purpose analytical methods and analyses which provide key insights and process knowledge for scale-up and process optimization studies
2. Accountable for transferring methods to and from clients or other PharmaBlock research sites to support the timely release of products (including intermediates and API).
3. Responsible for willingly and enthusiastically solve challenging development problems using their expertise in a particular area of pharmaceutical analysis and through demonstrated broader understanding of analytical techniques
4. Accountable for identifying opportunities and/or implementing solutions to improve efficiency, productivity and quality; reduce costs; operate in accordance with safety and compliance standards (e.g., GMPs, facility, division and department SOPs).
5. Actively collaborate with other chemists within the team. Expected to consistently display a can-do attitude and demonstrate the willingness and capability to adapt and grow within a changing environment.
6. Successful candidates expected to grow and advance to analytical/QC lead
